Rachel Hoffman grew up in a musical family. She began piano lessons at the age of five and continued her musical journey by studying voice, participating in choirs, ensembles, and vocal competitions, and later studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she received her Bachelor of Music degree with honors. As a Professional Music major, she specialized in Songwriting, Vocal Performance and Private Studio Instruction. Since moving to Nashville in 1998, Rachel has worked in music publishing, provided children's entertainment at Nashville events, directed children's choirs, taught music classes for middle school and high school students, and continues to teach private voice lessons for older children, teens, and adults. Rachel began our early childhood classes in 2004 and has had the privilege of helping train early childhood music teachers around the world. She is committed to providing the very best early childhood music education during the most critical time of music development. Rachel adores every child she meets - especially her three adult children.

Huxley Rittman was born in New York and raised in Singapore. He has been performing across two decades, three continents, four instruments and more projects than anybody could keep track of. He began his musical journey at age 6 on the piano. Ultimately the guitar became his principal instrument when he enrolled at Berklee College of Music in 2014. From Boston, Huxley moved to Nashville to pursue more musical opportunities and is thrilled to have found a place in the Sound Start family, giving the gift of rhythm and song to the new generation.

Grace Wallace.jpg

Grace Wallace has always kindled a love for music in her life. Her parents exposed her to a wide variety of music from a young age, and she always enjoyed singing at church and in her school choir. She’s also loved teaching and caring for children since she was a child herself. Grace was a vocal student of Dr. Don Maxwell and graduated with a degree in Music Education from Midwestern State University. She then taught elementary music in three different  public schools in Texas, but she found that she’s the most passionate about early education. Grace taught The Music Class® And Music Theory for three years in Austin, TX and  moved to Nashville in 2021 when her husband got a job as a Worship Pastor at an Anglican parish in Bellevue. When she’s not loving on her two small kids, she’s serving at church or watching movies.
